Recently concluded Sixth ISSJS2010 was a great success with total satisfaction expressed by all participants. This success, alongwith extensive interactions with the participants and other scholars globally, we are structuring ISSJS2011 as three levels offering as follows

Level I
The goal of Level-I is to develop a foundation in the understanding of the fundamentals of Jainism in the areas of Religion, Philosophy, History, and Culture. ISSJS2011-3W, ISSJS2011-O and ISSJS2011-M belong to this category.

Level II
The level 2 builds on the Level I in terms of scope, depth, and intensity, and aims at acquiring proficiency of knowledge that qualifies/prepares the student to pursue Jainism related studies for research and teaching in a university. ISSJS2010-6w belongs to this category

Level III (specialized short term programs).
To meet specialized needs of serious scholars, alumni and very bright graduate students, we are offering one week (each) dedicated programs on

S1. Meditation (including actual practice),
S2. Study a Jain holy text in Prakrit,
S3. Study a Jain holy text in Sanskrit and a
S.4 Tour of important Jain places of importance for pilgrimage and art in Central India and Rajasthan.

Each program will be of one week duration and coached/guided by an expert exclusively. These modules can be coupled or combined with Level I and Level II programs also. Selected Jain texts are Uttaradhyayan and Rattan Karand Sravakacara, both of immense use for scholars of Jain studies.
